In this paper a Voronoi Cell Finite Element (VCFEM) scheme is presented to model ductile damage in metal matrix composites (MMCs). Particle fracture and matrix cracking are used to model failure of the composite. Numerical examples for simple microstructures are used to validate the model. An example of an actual morphological description of a MMC is used illustrate the potential of the method.
