L'article presente un traite arabe portant sur l'utilisation d'un quadrant. Les differentes formes du quadrant propose sont decrits dans le traite de Bagdad et des informations sur son auteur sont exposees. Des details sont egalement donnes sur la formule qui a permis de maintenir la ponctualite dans l'estimation de l'heure indiquee par le quadrant.
