Image super-resolution is the process of combining multiple images into a single image that has higher resolution than any of the original images. We present a variational framework for fusing multiple co-registered images using the Total Variation (TV) and Mumford-Shah regularizations. We also propose an alternating minimization strategy for aligning and fusing multiple images in the case when the co-registration parameters are unknown.
