A TSQL2 tutorial
@article{Snodgrass1994ATT, title={A TSQL2 tutorial}, author={Richard T. Snodgrass}, journal={SIGMOD Rec.}, year={1994}, volume={23}, pages={27-33} }
This tutorial presents the primary constructs of the consensus temporal query language TSQL2 via a media planning scenario. Media planning is a series of decisions involved in the delivery of a promotional message via mass media. We will follow the planning of a particular advertising campaign. We introduce the scenario by identifying the marketing objective. The media plan involves placing commercials, and is recorded in a temporal database. The media plan must then be evaluated; we show how…

- 1995
A relational algebra is introduced in which the traditional operators are extended in order to deal with imprecise and qualitative time; the properties of the operators are examined, showing that the algebra introduced is a consistent extension of the snapshot algebra.

Visual query operators for temporal databases

This paper proposes a visual query system for temporal databases that adopts a diagrammatic representation of the database schema (including temporal classes and relationships), on which conventional as well as temporal visual query operators can be applied.
"Zaman": An approach to a Temporal DBMS
- Computer Science
- 2012
This research is suggesting an approach in which an existing RDBMS is encapsulating with a software layer that supports the temporal semantics and constraints and provides an interface to communicate with temporal applications, using a temporal query language similar to and temporally compatible with SQL-92.
