This tutorial presents the primary constructs of the consensus temporal query language TSQL2 via a media planning scenario. Media planning is a series of decisions involved in the delivery of a promotional message via mass media. We will follow the planning of a particular advertising campaign. We introduce the scenario by identifying the marketing objective. The media plan involves placing commercials, and is recorded in a temporal database. The media plan must then be evaluated; we show how…

Recent Advances in Temporal Databases
TLDR
A relational algebra is introduced in which the traditional operators are extended in order to deal with imprecise and qualitative time; the properties of the operators are examined, showing that the algebra introduced is a consistent extension of the snapshot algebra.
Temporal Query Languages: A Survey
TLDR
This work defines formal notions of temporal domain and temporal database, and uses them to survey a wide spectrum of temporal query languages and addresses the issue of incomplete temporal information.
Visual query operators for temporal databases
TLDR
This paper proposes a visual query system for temporal databases that adopts a diagrammatic representation of the database schema (including temporal classes and relationships), on which conventional as well as temporal visual query operators can be applied.
Postrelational Databases
"Zaman": An approach to a Temporal DBMS
TLDR
This research is suggesting an approach in which an existing RDBMS is encapsulating with a software layer that supports the temporal semantics and constraints and provides an interface to communicate with temporal applications, using a temporal query language similar to and temporally compatible with SQL-92.

TLDR
The most important common properties of information resource collections; systematization techniques involved in creating collections; problems of the genesis of collections; the role of metadata; peculiarities of scientific collections, as well as promising information technologies and standards meant for the creation, support, and usage of collections are explored.
A Bibliography of ACM SIGMOD Record
TLDR
A chronology of key events and developments in the development ofadversary-based pedagogical practices over the past century.
A parametric prototype for spatiotemporal databases
TLDR
TheHDF5 Library implements the HDF5 Data Model and Storage Model as described above, and is implemented in portable C, which is not an object-oriented language.
