Pemphigus Vulgaris (PV) is a life-threatening autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering disease associated with IgG antibodies targeting several types of keratinocyte antigens and eliciting epidermal clefting (acantholysis) via intracellular signalling activating apoptotic enzymes (apoptolysis) [1]. It is a relatively rare disease with an incidence of 1-3.5 cases per 100,000 individuals showing an increased frequency among the middle aged individuals [2].
