Modern embedded systems tend to consist of multiple processors like multicore DSP (Digital Signal Processor) or MPSoC (Multiprocessor System-on-Chip). Static task scheduling for rapid prototyping of parallel embedded systems is different from the dynamic monocore scheduling problem.
