  • This paper presents a review on Optical Character Recognition Techniques. Optical Character recognition (OCR) is a technology that allows machines to automatically recognize the characters through an optical mechanism. OCR can be described as Mechanical or electronic conversion of scanned images where images can be handwritten, typewritten or printed text.
