The method of quick discrimination among 6 species of fruit flies (Tephritidae : Bactrocera) occurred or trapped from the South of China was studied based on PCR-RFLP of the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). The results showed that DNAs, which were estimated about 350bp and 450bp respectively, were obtained by means of PCR with two groups of primers designed from mtDNA of target pests.
