The attacks on Certificate Authorities (CAs) such as DigiNotar [1] and Comodo [2] in 2011 have demonstrated the weakness in the current PKIX (X.509 Public-Key Infrastructure ) [3] [4] model and boosted the discussion of using DNS leveraged by DNSSEC as an alternative PKI.
