A single-layered leaky wave antenna (SL-LWA) exploiting the groundless spoof plasmons (SPs) structure is presented and validated to achieve consistent scanning beam and broadside gain across a wide bandwidth. The antenna is composed of single-layered meander SP cells and coplanar waveguide to SP structure converters.
