Protein microarray has progressed rapidly in the past few years, but it is still hard to popularize it in many developing countries or small hospitals owing to the technical expertise required in practice. We developed a cheap and easy-to-use protein microarray based on dot immunogold filtration assay for parallel analysis of ToRCH-related antibodies including Toxoplasma gondii, rubella virus, cytomegalovirus and herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 in sera of pregnant women. It does not require…

Proteomic technologies for prenatal diagnostics: advances and challenges ahead
Should the development of proteomic markers for pregnancy-related disorders, such as fetal aneuploidy, preterm birth, preeclampsia, intra-amniotic infection and fetal stress be successful, it is to be envisaged that proteomic approaches will become standard of care for a number of disease conditions associated with feto–maternal health.
A Novel Quantum Dots–Based Point of Care Test for Syphilis
Its ease of use, sensitiveness and low cost make it well-suited for population-based on-the-site syphilis screening, and the quantum dots were found to be suitable for labels of lateral flow test strip.
A Quick and Parallel Analytical Method Based on Quantum Dots Labeling for ToRCH-Related Antibodies
A quick and parallel analytical method based on quantum dots for ToRCH-related antibodies including Toxoplasma gondii, Rubella virus, Cytomegalovirus and Herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 and shows that the quantum dots labeling-based ToR CH microarrays have comparable sensitivity and specificity with ELISA.
A bead-based microfluidic system for joint detection in TORCH screening at point-of-care testing
A concise bead-based microfluidic system has been developed for joint detection in TORCH screening at point-of-care testing. Assisted by five functionalized polycarbonate single beads, totally five
Instrumentos para dispensado y lectura de microarreglos: robot cartesiano y lector de CCD
Microarrays consist of hundreds or thousands of microdrops of different reagents with nanoliter volume, deposited like a matrix on a flat support. This technique plays a fundamental role in

The dot-immunogold filtration assay is rapid and simple for performing and reading in the detection of IgG against T.s with high sensitivity and specificity.
Screening of specific antigens for SARS clinical diagnosis using a protein microarray.
Protein microarray assay presents a higher positive rate and sensitivity compared with the traditional ELISA screening method, and could provide a rapid, parallel and high-throughput antigen screening platform, and may be a valuable diagnostic antigen for the development of serological assays for SARS.
Situation analysis of prenatal diagnosis technology utilization in China: Current situation, main issues, and policy implications
It is clear that the technology of prenatal diagnosis is not diffusing well throughout China and is apparently not appropriately used, which has implications for policy-makers.
Dot immunogold filtration assay for rapid detection of anti-HAV IgM in Chinese.
The dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA) is established for rapid detection of anti-HAV IgM with comparatively satisfactory results.
Detection of anti-HAV antibody with dot immunogold filtration assay.
The simplicity, rapidity and specificity of the assay were useful for screening and epidemiological study, and can detect anti-HAV IgM and IgG simultaneously, and be done within 3 minutes.
Functional protein microarrays for parallel characterisation of p53 mutants
Protein‐protein interactions between p53 variants and a regulatory oncoprotein, a regulatory kinase resulting in on‐chip phosphorylation, are described, suggesting the more general utility of this high‐throughput assay format.
Preliminary study of a dot immunogold filtration assay for rapid detection of anti-HCV IgG.
By using the colloidal gold labeling technique to fix the structural and the non-structural domains of HCV recombinant antigen on the millipore membrane, a dot immunogold filtration assay for detecting anti-HCV-IgG was successfully established.
New Multiple Antigenic Peptide-Based Enzyme Immunoassay for Detection of Simian Immunodeficiency Virus Infection in Nonhuman Primates and Humans
The SIV MAP EIA proved to be highly sensitive and specific for detecting SIV infections in NHPs and humans and should be suitable for sentinel surveillance for potential new cross-species transmissions of SIVs to humans.
