In this document, we present an image retrieval system that is based on a segmented representation of the visual content. This representation leads to a comparison of the image content that is more ”semantic” than a classical global comparison. The system compares regions using fuzzy similarity measures that have been show to be psychologically intuitive and easy to aggregate. We then exploit the aggregation between regional similarity measures to let the user build four different types of… Expand
STRICT: An Image Retrieval Platform for Queries Based on Regional Content
TLDR
A CBIR system that is based on a segmented representation of image content that compares regional features using fuzzy similarity, which have been shown to be psychologically intuitive, and can be aggregated to support four different type of original queries is presented. Expand
Fast gradual matching measure for image retrieval based on visual similarity and spatial relations
TLDR
A comparison measure is proposed that not only evaluates the similarity of regions one to the other, but that also takes into account the spatial configuration of the regions. Expand
Image retrieval by Regional content using Matrix Composition of Fuzzy Relations

Queries by visual content using fuzzy similarity measures on regional descriptions
TLDR
A new CBIR system based on segmented images and fuzzy similarity measures that gives the possibility to the user to specify a set of regions, and to retrieve images containing these regions in an approximate spatial configuration is introduced. Expand
Ranking Invariance Based on Similarity Measures in Document Retrieval
TLDR
This paper shows that several comparison measures used in the field of retrieval can be grouped into classes of equivalent behavior, then, in a query by example process, the choice of these measure can be reduced to the choices of a family of them. Expand

It is found that further modifications are needed to produce better performance in searching images, and cross correlation value & image descriptor attributes are calculated prior histogram implementation to make CBIR system more efficient. Expand
Ranking invariance between fuzzy similarity measures applied to image retrieval
TLDR
