This review brings up to date the knowledge of the mosquitoes of the Solomon Islands. Almost 200 new distribution records are detailed for 80 of the 99 species and partially described forms now known from the islands. A systematic treatment covers all the species and a geographical treatment gives the species found and notes on all known collections for each island or island group.
