Summary A prototype harness for a standard wheelchair, designed at Gogarburn Hospital, Edinburgh, and produced and fitted by the Bioengineering Centre at the Princess Margaret Rose Hospital, Edinburgh, was assessed for the amount of movement it allowed. The method recorded the amount of movement occurring without a harness and with the prototype, a crutch strap, and lap strap.
