In virtual circuit networks, the problem of routing a connection consists of selecting the best path among all the available paths between the source and destination of the connection. In this paper, we propose a path pre-selection routing scheme that not only takes the current state of each network link into account, but also considers the routing requests being issued by other nodes in the network.
