Prednisolone and prednisone are two widely used corticosteroids for various inflammatory and immune diseases. Prednisolone is the active form of prednisone in vivo. Total prednisolone in plasma exhibits nonlinear pharmacokinetics mainly due to its nonlinear protein binding.
