Reliable and accurate photovoltaic (PV) models are essential for simulation of PV power systems. A solar cell is typically represented by a single diode equivalent circuit. The circuit parameters need to be estimated accurately to get an accurate model. However, one circuit parameter was assumed because of the limited information provided by commercial manufacturing datasheets, and thus the model accuracy is affected.
