We determine the parallax and proper motion of the flaring, non-thermal radio star GMR A, a member of the Orion Nebula Cluster, using Very Long Baseline Array observations. Based on the parallax, we measure a distance of 389 +24/-21 parsecs to the source. Our measurement places the Orion Nebula Cluster considerably closer than the canonical distance of 480 +/- 80 parsecs determined by Genzel et al. (1981). A change of this magnitude in distance lowers the luminosities of the stars in the…

VLBA Determination of the Distance to Nearby Star-forming Regions. II. Hubble 4 and HDE 283572 in Taurus
The nonthermal 3.6 cm radio continuum emission from the naked T Tauri stars Hubble 4 and HDE 283572 in Taurus has been observed with the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) at six epochs between 2004
Dynamical parallax of σ Ori AB: mass, distance and age
The massive OB-type binary σ Ori AB is in the centre of the very young σ Orionis cluster. I have computed the most probable distances and masses of the binary for several ages using a dynamical

We present Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) observations of molecular line emission from d216-0939, one of the largest and most massive protoplanetary disks in the Orion Nebula
THE GOULD’S BELT DISTANCES SURVEY (GOBELINS). II. DISTANCES AND STRUCTURE TOWARD THE ORION MOLECULAR CLOUDS
We present the results of the Gould's Belt Distances Survey of young star-forming regions toward the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. We detected 36 young stellar objects (YSOs) with the Very Large

A Submillimeter Array Survey of Protoplanetary Disks in the Orion Nebula Cluster
We present the full results of our three-year-long Submillimeter Array (SMA) survey of protoplanetary disks in the Orion Nebula Cluster. We imaged 23 fields at 880 μm and 2 fields at 1330 μm,
SPECTROSCOPIC BINARIES IN THE ORION NEBULA CLUSTER AND NGC 2264
We examine the spectroscopic binary population for two massive nearby regions of clustered star formation, the Orion Nebula Cluster (ONC) and NGC 2264, supplementing the data presented by Tobin et
Physical parameters and long-term photometric variability of V1481 Ori, an SB2 member of Orion nebula Cluster with an accreting component
We present the results of our analysis on V1481 Ori (JW 239), a young SB2 in the Orion Nebula Cluster with a circumbinary disc accreting on the lower-mass component. The analysis is based on
TRIGONOMETRIC PARALLAXES OF HIGH MASS STAR FORMING REGIONS: THE STRUCTURE AND KINEMATICS OF THE MILKY WAY
Over 100 trigonometric parallaxes and proper motions for masers associated with young, high- mass stars have been measured with the Bar and Spiral Structure Legacy Survey, a Very Long Baseline Array
ALMA observations of a misaligned binary protoplanetary disk system in Orion
We present ALMA observations of a wide binary system in Orion, with projected separation 440 AU, in which we detect submillimeter emission from the protoplanetary disks around each star. Both disks
