Objective To evaluate the isolating efficacy of the non-blood culture media and the conventional sheep blood chocolate culture media on Haemophilus species. Methods We put haemophilus(ATCC10211) and 225 clinical (sputum) specimens on the non-blood and the conventional sheep blood chocolate culture media, then calculated and compared the average growth rate and the isolation rate of haemophilus on the two culture media.
