ABSTRACT A new species, Lymantria (Nyctria) furvinis H. Wang, Kishida and M. Wang sp. nov., is described from Guangdong Nanling National Nature Reserve, South China. The new species can be distinguished from all previously described species by the basal area on the forewing yellow with black spots, valve with a transverse sclerite connecting a long digitate process medially. Illustrations of the adults, wing venation and genitalia are provided.

First record of Hiroshia László, Ronkay & Ronkay from China, with description of a new species (Lepidoptera: Thyatiridae).

The monotypical genus Hiroshia and the type species, H. albinigra László, Ronkay & Ronkay, 2001 from North Vietnam are recorded for the first time from China, with description of a new species, H.

Taxonomic review of the genus Lymantria (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Lymantriinae) in Korea

The diagnoses of two unrecorded species and adult habitus and genitalia photos of the Korean Lymantria species are provided and they are considered that the previous records were due to misidentification or they are only distributed in the northern part of the Koreans Peninsula.

DNA Barcoding of the Korean Lymantria Hübner, 1819 (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Lymantriinae) for Quarantine Inspection

DNA barcoding led to accurate identification in species level, but in subspecies level, only a taxon showing geographically far distance was discriminated from the others; these results may provide a taxonomic outline of the Korean Lymantria fauna and may be used as an identification reference for Lymantsria species during quarantine inspection.

Destruxin A Induces and Binds HSPs in Bombyx mori Bm12 Cells.

DA can induce the four HSPs expression in Bm12 cells, but DA only binds to BmHSCP, which provides new insights on understanding of the action mechanisms of destruxins.

Two new species of the genus Longipenis Wu (Lepidoptera: Lecithoceridae) are described from South China, one of which is very similar to L. deltidius Wu in external morphology, but can be easily distinguished from the latter by M3 free from CuA1 in the hindwing and cornutus as long as 2/3 length of aedeagus.

review of selected species of Lymantria Hübner (1819) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae: Lymantriinae) from subtropical and temperate regions of Asia, including the descriptions of three new species, some potentially invasive to North America

31 species and three subspecies of Lymantria that, if accidentally introduced into North America, could result in severe damage to native forests and economic losses are treated here.
