ABSTRACT A new rhamphorhynchid pterosaur species, Sericipterus wucaiwanensis, gen. et sp. nov., is described from the Upper Jurassic part of the Shishugou Formation in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of northwest China. Pterosaurs from this unit are the earliest and only records of pterosaurs in the Jurassic of northwest China. The individual specimen is one of the largest known among ‘rhamphorhynchoids,’ or non-pterodactyloid pterosaurs. The holotype comprises an associated skeleton of mostly…
A New Non-Pterodactyloid Pterosaur from the Late Jurassic of Southern Germany
TLDR
A new genus of non-pterodactyloid pterosaur based on an extremely well preserved fossil of a young juvenile: Bellubrunnus rothgaengeri is described, heralds from a newly explored locality that is older than the classic Solnhofen beds.
First record of a Late Jurassic rhamphorhynchine pterosaur from Gondwana
TLDR
This specimen is the oldest known pterosaur found in Chile, and the first of Oxfordian age in Gondwana, which suggests that the clade Rhamphorhynchidae had a global distribution during the Late Jurassic.
Nurhachius luei, a new istiodactylid pterosaur (Pterosauria, Pterodactyloidea) from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province (China) and comments on the Istiodactylidae
A new istiodactylid pterosaur, Nurhachius luei sp. nov., is here reported based on a complete skull with mandible and some cervical vertebrae from the lower part of the Jiufotang Formation of western
New information on the Wukongopteridae (Pterosauria) revealed by a new specimen from the Jurassic of China
TLDR
The postcranial skeleton of IVPP V 17959 has ontogenetically mature characteristics including a completely fused scapula and coracoid, fused proximal and distal carpal series, and an ossified extensor tendon process of the first wing phalanx, allowing its classification as ontogenetic stage five.
Triassic pterosaurs
Abstract Pterosaurs are a clade of highly specialized, volant archosauromorphs recorded from the Upper Triassic to the uppermost Cretaceous. Problematic remains referred to the Pterosauria are
Morphology and Taxonomy of Quetzalcoatlus Lawson 1975 (Pterodactyloidea: Azhdarchoidea)
ABSTRACT Quetzalcoatlus is the largest flying organism ever known and one of the most familiar pterosaurs to the public. Despite a half century of interest, it remains very incompletely described.
A New Small-Bodied Azhdarchoid Pterosaur from the Lower Cretaceous of England and Its Implications for Pterosaur Anatomy, Diversity and Phylogeny
TLDR
A pelvis-only phylogenetic analysis was constructed to test whether the pterosaur pelvis carries a useful phylogenetic signal, and several characters suggest that Vectidraco belongs to Azhdarchoidea, while the general phylogenetic composition of western European and Chinese communities appear to have been approximately similar.

TLDR
A complete, articulated skeleton of a 1.4-m-wingspan pterosaur from the Lower Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Liaoning Province, China is reported and it is identified as a new genus and species, Shenzhoupterus chaoyangensis gen. nov.
A NEW PTEROSAUR FROM THE LIAONING PROVINCE OF CHINA, THE PHYLOGENY OF THE PTERODACTYLOIDEA, AND CONVERGENCE IN THEIR CERVICAL VERTEBRAE
TLDR
Phylogenetic analysis of a new pterosaur from the Early Cretaceous of Liaoning Province of China and the Pterodactyloidea reveals that the characters of the elongate azhdarchid vertebrae appeared independently in both groups, demonstrating that the homoplastic character states present in these two taxa were acquired in a different order in their respective lineages.
New information on the Tapejaridae (Pterosauria, Pterodactyloidea) and discussion of the relationships of this clade
Abstract. A phylogenetic analysis indicates that the Tapejaridae is a monophyletic group of pterodactyloid pterosaurs, diagnosed by the following synapomorphies: premaxillary sagittal crest that
A New Pterosaur from the Jurassic of Cuba
Cacibupteryx caribensis gen. et sp. nov. is a new pterosaur of the family Rhamphorhynchidae found in western Cuba, in rocks of the Jagua Formation (Middle–Upper Oxfordian). The holotype, a skull and
A primitive istiodactylid pterosaur (Pterodactyloidea) from the Jiufotang Formation (Early Cretaceous), northeast China
TLDR
The palatal anatomy of Hongshanopterus lacustris agrees with previous hypothesis that considers Istiodactylidae more closely related to the Anhangueridae than to Pteranodon.

Pterosaur diversity and faunal turnover in Cretaceous terrestrial ecosystems in China
TLDR
Two new pterosaurs that are referred to European groups previously unknown in deposits of northeastern China are reported, showing a wide range of groups including both primitive and derived forms that are not matched by any other deposit in the world.

TLDR
It is proposed that Zhejiangopterus be reassigned to the Azhdarchidae, a new, long‐necked, Late Cretaceous pterosaur from China that has been assigned to the Nyctosauridae.
