In this paper, for improving the performance of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) over Wireless Mesh Network (WMN), we introduce a new TCP loss recovery algorithm called T-NCE (A Timestamp based detection of Non-Congestion Events) which is able to detect the Non-Congestion events such as transmission errors and packet reordering and differentiate the loss of packets due to transmission errors from reordering of packets.
