We propose a keyboard-style input method of computers with one compact CCD camera. The proposed method is called Virtual Keyboard. Virtual Keyboard economizes the input devices’ space of computers. In addition, it provides customisability for users. We discuss the motivation of researching the Virtual Keyboard, its flexibility and applicability. We describe our current research status of the Virtual Keyboard, and envisage its future.

Smart Keyboard Using Internet of Things

The objective was to interact between a computer and human-being, a system of keyboard is represented by means of camera and Image Processing, and shows that it is a reliable sense of technology with high accuracy.

Virtual Keyboard Using Shadow Analysis

This paper addresses problems with current Virtual Keyboard implementations and describes a novel technique, namely shadow analysis, to solve these problems.

Virtual Keyboard using Image Processing

The Virtual Keyboard that is proposed uses only a standard web camera, with no additional hardware, to provide solutions using specialized devices such as 3D cameras.

Webcam Based Virtual Keyboard Using Shadow Analysis-A Review

The proposed Virtual Keyboard, being a small, handy, well-designed and easy to use application, turns into a perfect solution for cross platform multilingual text input by using shadow analysis which includes finger shadows to detect finger touches.

User defined custom virtual keyboard

New way of developing a virtual and custom keyboard is defined, using 2D camera and other sensors available in phone, without the use of any extra input hardware, enabling users to create his keyboard on any homogenous surface like table or paper.

A Real-time Finger-tapping Interface Using High-speed Vision System

This paper introduces a real-time estimation algorithm for the fingertip contact state and force by using frequency filtering to detect the high-frequency movement component of the fingertips positions.
