A new interstitial arthrotardigrade, Renaudarctus psammocryptus n. gen., n. sp., is described from high-energy marine beaches of Fort Pierce and Boca Raton, Florida. It is found in sediment consisting of stratified layers of coarse quartz sand and shell hash. The tardigrade is distinguished particularly by its dorsal cuticular plates, toes, and claw structure. The Renaudarctidae is established as a new family in the order Arthrotardigrada. A recently described tardigrade, Neostygarctus…

The ‘Hyena Female’ of Tardigrades and Descriptions of Two New Species of Megastygarctides (Arthrotardigrada: Stygarctidae) from Saudi Arabia
A new type of female in tardigrades is suggested, the ‘tardigrade hyena female’ because of the abnormal size of the external genital structures, which may be involved in both copulation and in the insemination of the spermatozoa through the eggshell.
A new intertidal arthrotardigrade, Prostygarctus aculeatus gen. nov., sp. nov. (Tardigrada: Heterotardigrada) from the North of Portugal (Atlantic ocean)
The morphological peculiarities exhibited by the new species justify the establishment of a new genus and will provide useful insights to help develop the understanding of the phylogenetic relationships of armoured arthrotardigrades.
A new species of Neostygarctus (Arthrotardigrada) from the Condor Seamount in the Azores, Northeast Atlantic
The tardigrade fauna of Condor Seamount, west of the Azores, is relatively rich, and species from at least seven genera are represented. A new species of the rare marine genus Neostygarctus
Neoarctus primigenius n. g., n. sp., a new Stygarctidae of the Tyrrhenian Sea (Tardigrada, Arthrotardigrada)
Taking into account the cuticular plates, the number and distribution of the sense organs, and the claw morphology, the affinities of this species with Oreellidae, Neostygarctidae and Renaudarctidae are here discussed.
Tardigrades of North America: Oreella chugachii, a new species (Heterotardigrada, Echiniscoide, Oreellidae) from Alaska
The discovery in the northern hemisphere of a population of a new species of Oreella, a previously monotypic, Gondwanian genus, expands the biogeography of what is believed to be a foundation group for limno-terrestrial tardigrades.
Revision of Angursa (Arthrotardigrada: Styraconyxidae) with the description of a new species from Japan
The diagnosis of this genus of marine tardigrade genus Angursa Pollock is amended, a taxonomic key to species is provided, and their geographical distributions are discussed.
Molecular phylogeny of Arthrotardigrada (Tardigrada).
Neostygarctus lovedeluxe n. sp. from the Miyako Islands, Japan: The First Record of Neostygarctidae (Heterotardigrada: Arthrotardigrada) from the Pacific
The morphology of the two clawed juvenile is reported for the first time in Neostygarctidae, providing new insights into the common sequence in some ontogenic traits.
Halechiniscidae (Heterotardigrada, Arthrotardigrada) of Oura Bay, Okinawajima, Ryukyu Islands, with descriptions of three new species
Marine tardigrades of the family Halechiniscidae are reported from Oura Bay, Okinawajima, one of the Ryukyu Islands, Japan, including Dipodarctus sp.
A new genus and species of Renaudarctidae (Heterotardigrada: Arthrotardigrada) from Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan
A new armoured marine tardigrade, Nodarctus hallucis gen. et sp.
