I n this paper a dedicated multiprocessor architecture fo r a real tame implementat ion of the normalized cross correlation func t ion (NCCF) o n images u p to 1024x1024 pixels i s presented. T h e computational requirements are dramatically reduced by calculating this algorithm in the frequency domain.
