The aim of this paper is to deal with some methodological issues related to the multidimensional analysis of well-being from the theoretical perspective suggested by Amartya Sen. Widely recognised as one of the more satisfying and complete approaches to well-being analysis, Sen’s capability approach has found relatively few empirical applications up to now, mainly for its strong informational and methodological requirements.
