We propose a relativistically covariant model of interacting dark energy based on the principle of least action. The cosmological term $\Lambda$ in the gravitational Lagrangian is a function of the trace of the energy--momentum tensor $T$. We find that the $\Lambda(T)$ gravity is more general than the Palatini $f(R)$ gravity, and reduces to the latter if we neglect the pressure of matter. We show that recent cosmological data favor a variable cosmological constant and are consistent with the…

We construct Locally Rotationally Symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-I cosmological model in $f(R,T)$ theory of gravity when the source of gravitation is the mixture of barotropic fluid and dark energy

The problem of cosmological production of (massless) gravitons is discussed in the framework of an expanding, spatially homogeneous and isotropic FRW type Universe with decaying vacuum energy density
The present work reports study on the interacting Ricci dark energy in a modified gravity theory named f(R, T) gravity. In the specific model f(R, T) = μR + νT we have observed a quintom-like

A wide range of recent cosmological observations1,2 has suggested that the universe in its present state is in the phase of accelerated expansion. The cause of this acceleration is supposed to be

In the present paper we propose a further modification of f(R, T)-gravity (where T is trace of the energy-momentum tensor) by introducing higher derivatives matter fields. We discuss stability

We consider cosmological scenarios based on $f(R,T)$ theories of gravity ($R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor) and numerically reconstruct the function $f(R,T)$

In this paper we investigate three theories characterised by non-vanishing divergence of the stress-energy tensor, namely $f(R,\mathcal L_M)$, $f(R,T)$, and Rastall theory. We show that it is not
