A generalised thermal model for the determination of transient core and skin temperatures for both clothed and unclothed operators has been developed. Healthy/sick and passive/active operators have been considered in the analysis where the effects of sickness and the addition of muscle heat are investigated. The developed model has been validated against the results available in the literature.
