Quark matter at small temperature T and large quark chemical potential μ is a color superconductor [1, 2]. In a color superconductor, there are several energy scales: the quark chemical potential μ, the inverse gluon screening length mg ∼ gμ, and the superconducting gap parameter φ. In weak coupling these three scales are naturally ordered, φ gμ μ.
