We develop a forward branching phase-space generator for use in next-to-leading order parton level event generators. By performing 2 → 3 branchings from a fixed jet phase-space point, all bremsstrahlung events contributing to the given jet configu ration are generated. The resulting phasespace integration is three-dimensional irrespective of th e considered jet multiplicity. In this first study, we use the forward branching phase-space generator to calculate in the leading-color approximation…

A forward branching phase space generator for hadron colliders
A bstractIn this paper we develop a projective phase space generator appropriate for hadron collider geometry. The generator integrates over bremsstrahlung events which project back to a single,
Improved Partonic Event Generators at Lepton Colliders
A method is detailed for the phase space integration of multi-jets cross sections at lepton colliders, applicable to parton level Monte Carlo's at any order in perturbation theory. Other non-jet
A Projective Phase Space Generator for Hadronic Vector Boson Plus One Jet Production
In this paper we use our previously developed projective phase space generator for the calculation of the hadronic production of a vector boson with one additional jet at Next-to-Leading Order. The
Event-by-event weighting at next-to-leading order
We present a general method of associating next-to-leading order weights to leading order phase space configurations at hadron colliders. Themethod relies on a re-organizationof phase space for the
Extending the Matrix Element Method beyond the Born approximation: calculating event weights at next-to-leading order accuracy
A bstractIn this article we illustrate how event weights for jet events can be calculated efficiently at next-to-leading order (NLO) accuracy in QCD. This is a crucial prerequisite for the
The matrix element method at next-to-leading order
A bstractThis paper presents an extension of the matrix element method to next-to-leading order in perturbation theory, for electro-weak final states. To accomplish this we have developed a method to
Exploring phase space with Neural Importance Sampling
TLDR
An importance sampling technique capable of overcoming typical deficiencies of existing approaches by incorporating neural networks is proposed, which guarantees full phase space coverage and the exact reproduction of the desired target distribution, in this case given by the squared transition matrix element.
Scrutinizing the Top Quark at Lepton Colliders with Higher Orders : From Fixed Order to Resummation and Matching
In this thesis, we present detailed studies of top-pair production with (tt̄H) and without association of a Higgs boson (tt̄) in e + e − collisions. These processes are of utmost interest for the top
Helicity-dependent showers and matching with VINCIA
TLDR
This work combines the shower with VINCIA's multiplicative approach to matrix-element matching, generalized to operate on each helicity configuration separately, resulting in a substantial gain in computational speed for high parton multiplicities.

GenEvA (II): a phase space generator from a reweighted parton shower
We introduce a new efficient algorithm for phase space generation. A parton shower is used to distribute events across all of multiplicity, flavor, and phase space, and these events can then be
