This paper aims to shed more light on an unexpected discovery made as a result of a research I initiated in 2012. Investigating the relationship between grammatical and imagined gender in speakers of Romanian and Hungarian, the research revealed something new and unlooked for: speakers of Hungarian tend to quantify reality in much more pragmatic terms than speakers of Romanian.
