We present a cosmic void catalog using the large-scale structure galaxy catalog from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS). This galaxy catalog is part of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 12 and is the final catalog of SDSS-III. We take into account the survey boundaries, masks, and angular and radial selection functions, and apply the ZOBOV void finding algorithm to the galaxy catalog. We identify a total of 10,643 voids. After making quality cuts to ensure that… Expand

Cosmic Voids in the SDSS DR12 BOSS Galaxy Sample: The Alcock-Paczynski Test
We apply the Alcock-Paczynski (AP) test to the stacked voids identified using the large-scale structure galaxy catalog from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS). This galaxy catalog isExpand
Cosmological exploitation of the size function of cosmic voids identified in the distribution of biased tracers
Cosmic voids are large underdense regions that, together with galaxy clusters, filaments and walls, build-up the large-scale structure of the Universe. The void size function provides a powerfulExpand
Metal Abundances and Star Formation Rates of Emission-line Galaxies in and around the Boötes Void
We explore the possible dependencies of galaxy metal abundance and star-formation rate (SFR) on local environment, focusing on the volume of space in and around the Bootes Void. Our sample ofExpand
Deficit of luminous and normal red galaxies in cosmic voids
We construct a sample of 10 680 wall galaxies and 3064 void galaxies with MR ≲ −20 by cross-referencing a void catalogue from literature with Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) CMASSExpand
Tracing the gravitational potential using cosmic voids
The properties of large underdensities in the distribution of galaxies in the Universe, known as cosmic voids, are potentially sensitive probes of fundamental physics. We use data from the MultiDarkExpand
The Ultraviolet Deep Imaging Survey of Galaxies in the Bootes Void. I. Catalog, Color–Magnitude Relations, and Star Formation
We present a deep far and near-ultraviolet (FUV and NUV) wide-field imaging survey of galaxies in the Bootes void using the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope on board AstroSat. Our data reach 5σ limitingExpand
On the relative bias of void tracers in the Dark Energy Survey
Luminous tracers of large-scale structure are not entirely representative of the distribution of mass in our Universe. As they arise from the highest peaks in the matter density field, the spatialExpand
The lensing and temperature imprints of voids on the cosmic microwave background.
We have searched for the signature of cosmic voids in the cosmic microwave background (CMB), in both the Planck temperature and lensing-convergence maps; voids should give decrements in both. We useExpand
Voids in the Cosmic Web as a probe of dark energy
The formation of large voids in the Cosmic Web from the initial adiabatic cosmological perturbations of space-time metric, density and velocity of matter is investigated in cosmological model withExpand
On the linearity of tracer bias around voids
The large-scale structure of the Universe can be observed only via luminous tracers of the dark matter. However, the clustering statistics of tracers are biased and depend on various properties, suchExpand
