Arbitrary inter-frame space (AIFS), contention window (CW) and transmission opportunity (TXOP) are three important quality-of-service (QoS) differentiation schemes specified in the IEEE 802.11e enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) protocol for wireless local area networks (WLANs).
