In this paper, the authors evaluated influence of walk navigation on pedestrians·memories of physical elements in a city concerning of quality and quantity. The authors employed a cognitive experiment method and compared two groups, subjects guided by walk navigation and those by a conventional map. The group with the navigation tended to remember visually, and their spatial memories decreased more.
