Introduction: Rasmussen’s encephalitis (RE) is a rare but chronic inflammatory neurodegenerative disorder with a poorly understood etiopathogenesis. It is characterized by progressive unilateral inflammation of the cerebral cortex leading to intractable seizures, gradual neurocognitive decline and unilateral hemispheric atrophy.
