The taxonomic position of strain D14, which has a broad spectrum and efficiently degradation dyes bacterium, was investigated based upon the phenotypic properties, 16S rRNA gene and gyrB gene sequences. The cells were gram-negative rod (0.6μm~1.0μm×1.0μm~4.0μm) and motile by means of a single polar flagellum. Optimum growth occurred at 20℃~30℃ and pH8.0.Positive for hydrolysis of galatin, Tween 80 and Tween 40.Hydrogen sulfide is produced from thiosulfate.
