We present a Bayesian maximum likelihood analysis of Faraday rotation measure (RM) maps of extended radio sources to determine magnetic field power spectra in clusters of galaxies. Using this approach, it is possible to determine the uncertainties in the measurements. We apply this approach to the RM map of Hydra A and derive the power spectrum of the cluster magnetic field. For Hydra A, we measure a spectral index of −5/3 over at least one order of magnitude implying Kolmogorov type turbulence…

FARADAY ROTATION MEASURE DUE TO THE INTERGALACTIC MAGNETIC FIELD. II. THE COSMOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTION
We investigate the Faraday rotation measure (RM) due to the intergalactic magnetic field (IGMF) through the cosmic web up to cosmological distances, using a model IGMF based on turbulence dynamo in

Magnetic fields and Faraday rotation in clusters of galaxies
We present a numerical approach to investigate the relationship between magnetic fields and Faraday rotation effects in clusters of galaxies. We can infer the structure and strength of intra-cluster
Measuring the cluster magnetic field power spectra from Faraday rotation maps of Abell 400, Abell 2634 and Hydra A
We apply a novel technique of Faraday Rotation measure (RM) map analysis to three galaxy clusters, Abell 400, Abell 2634 and Hydra A, in order to estimate cluster magnetic field strengths, length
Determination of the Primordial Magnetic Field Power Spectrum by Faraday Rotation Correlations
This paper introduces the formalism which connects between rotation measure (RM) measurements for extragalactic sources and the cosmological magnetic field power spectrum. It is shown that the
The magnetic power spectrum in Faraday rotation screens
The autocorrelation function and similarly the Fourier-power spectrum of a rotation measure ( RM ) map of an extended background radio source can be used to measure components of the magnetic
Magnetic Fields in Cluster Cores: Faraday Rotation in A400 and A2634
We present Faraday rotation data for radio sources in the centers of the Abell clusters A400 and A2634. These clusters contain large (100 kpc), tailed radio sources, each attached to the central cD
A New Radio-X-Ray Probe of Galaxy Cluster Magnetic Fields
Results are presented of a new VLA-ROSAT study that probes the magnetic field strength and distribution over a sample of 16 "normal" low-redshift (z ≤ 0.1) galaxy clusters. The clusters span 2 orders
Correlation of the magnetic field and the intra-cluster gas density in galaxy clusters
We present a correlation between X-ray surface brightness and Faraday rotation measure in galaxy clusters, both, from radio and X-ray observations as well as from modeling of the intra-cluster
Faraday Rotation in Cooling Flow Clusters of Galaxies. I. Radio and X-Ray Observations of Abell 1795
We present new, multiwavelength Very Large Array observations of the radio galaxy 1346+268 in the center of cooling flow cluster Abell 1795. With the high resolution (0.6) observations, the radio
Magnetic fields in the 3C 129 cluster
We present multifrequency VLA observations of the two radio galaxies 3C 129 and 3C 129.1 embedded in a luminous X-ray cluster. These radio observations reveal a substantial difference in the Faraday
