A wideband and planar pentagonal patch antenna using an FR-4 substrate and 4 × 4 arrays are proposed. Antennas were designed by considering effect of human body. The measured and calculated frequency characteristics of Sparameters match well. The amplitude of reflection coefficient was less than −5 dB for frequency range more than 2.2 GHz. Linear frequency characteristics of phase can be observed, which is very important for non-distortion characteristic of waveform.
