The aim of this work is to prepare observations of globular clusters with the upcoming second-generation VLT instrument MUSE, which is an integral-field unit (IFU) with an outstanding combination of a 1×1 arcmin2 field of view and a 0.2 arcsec spatial resolution, covering the wavelength range from 4 650 to 9 300 Å at a spectral resolution of 2.6 Å (FWHM).
