Technologies take their respective places in the ongoing dispute over grammar teaching, which has been appropriately described as a "linguistic and political battlefield" (Metcalfe 1992) due to the ever-changing levels of acceptance of focusing on grammar in second language (L2) teaching approaches over the past decades.
