The article presents the history of the Herbarium of the Jagiellonian University (KRA), is the oldest herbarium associated with a university in Poland, which is among the 30 oldest herbaria in the world. It was established in 1780 and was part of the Cabinet of Natural History of the Jagiellonian University. Nowadays, the Herbarium is part of the Institute of Botany at Jagiellonian University.
