The Challenge for the Future page 11 In 2001, foundation giving grew 5.1%, from $27.6 billion to an estimated $29 billion; and, while the growth in giving did not show the same exceptional increases as it did in the boom years of 1998, 1999 and 2000, giving has more than doubled since 1996.
