The effects of 2,5-hexanedione (2,5-HD) exposure on the expression of intermediate filament and actin proteins in adult rat testis was examined during progressive stages of testicular injury. The distribution of vimentin within testis cross sections was examined using immunohistochemistry while rhodamine-labeled phalloidin was used to localize filamentous actin.
