We present a list of 130 Galactic Open Clusters, found in the All-Sky Compiled Catalogue of 2.5 Million Stars (ASCC-2.5). For these clusters we determined a homogeneous set of astrophysical parameters such as size, membership, motion, distance and age. In a previous work, 520 already-known open clusters out of a sample of 1700 clusters from the literature were confirmed in the ASCC-2.5 using independent, objective methods. Using these methods the whole sky was systematically screened for new… Expand

Revisiting the population of Galactic open clusters
We present results of a study of the galactic open cluster population based on the all-sky catalogue ASCC-2.5 (I/280A) compiled from Tycho-2, Hipparcos and other catalogues. The sample of opticalExpand
Open clusters and the galactic disk
It is textbook knowledge that open clusters are conspicuous members of the thin disk of our Galaxy, but their role as contributors to the stellar population of the disk was regarded as minor.Expand
Population analysis of open clusters: radii and mass segregation
Aims. Based on our well-determined sample of open clusters in the all-sky catalogue ASCC-2.5 we derive new linear sizes of some 600 clusters, and investigate the effect of mass segregation of starsExpand
New Galactic embedded clusters and candidates from a WISE Survey
Abstract We carried out a search for new infrared star clusters, stellar groups and candidates using WISE images, which are very sensitive to dust emission nebulae. We report the discovery of 437Expand
Heterogeneity of the population of open star clusters in the Galaxy
Based on published data, we have compiled a catalogue of fundamental astrophysical parameters for 593 open clusters of the Galaxy. In particular, the catalogue provides the Galactic orbital elementsExpand
The population of open clusters of the Galactic disc
We summarize the results of our recent study of the Galactic disc population of open clusters. This study makes use of a sample of 650 open clusters drawn from the analysis of the high-precisionExpand
Shape parameters of Galactic open clusters
Context. There are only a few tens of open clusters for which ellipticities have been determined in the past. Aims. In this paper we derive observed and modelled shape parameters (apparentExpand
Tidal radii and masses of open clusters
Context. In a previous paper we obtained King’s parameters for 236 of 650 Galactic open clusters identified in the ASCC-2.5. Aims. Estimating tidal radii by use of observable parameters available forExpand
The initial luminosity and mass functions of the Galactic open clusters
We aim at the construction of luminosity and mass functions for Galactic open clusters, based on integrated magnitudes and tidal masses. We also aim at studying the evolution of these functions, withExpand
Global survey of star clusters in the Milky Way - III. 139 new open clusters at high Galactic latitudes
Context. An earlier analysis of the Milky Way Star Cluster (MWSC) catalogue revealed an apparent lack of old (t & 1 Gyr) open clusters in the solar neighbourhood (d. 1 kpc). Aims. To fill this gap weExpand

Astrophysical parameters of Galactic open clusters
We present a catalogue of astrophysical data for 520 Galactic open clusters. These are the clusters for which at least three most probable members (18 on average) could be identified in the ASCC-2.5,Expand
Searching for unknown open clusters in the Tycho-2 catalog
We present 11 new open cluster candidates found in a systematic search for unknown star clusters using the astro- metric and photometric data included in the Tycho 2 catalog. The possible existenceExpand
New catalogue of optically visible open clusters and candidates
We have compiled a new catalogue of open clusters in the Galaxy which updates the previous cat- alogues of Lyng a (1987) and of Mermilliod (1995) (included in the WEBDA database). New objects and newExpand
New infrared star clusters in the southern Milky Way with 2MASS
We carried out a 2MASS J, H and Ks survey of infrared star clusters in the Milky Way sector 230 <'< 350. This zone was the least studied in the literature, previously including only 12 infraredExpand
A Search for Star Clusters from the Hipparcos Data
We present results of a search for nearby star clusters and associations using Hipparcos Catalogue data, restricting the sample to stars with parallaxes above 2 mas (d 500 pc). Two new OBExpand
New infrared star clusters in the Northern and Equatorial Milky Way with 2MASS
We carried out a survey of infrared star clusters and stellar groups on the 2MASS J, H and Ks all-sky release Atlas in the Northern and Equatorial Milky Way (350 ◦ << 360 ◦ ,0 ◦ << 230 ◦ ). TheExpand

We present a catalogue of radial velocities of Galactic stars with high precision astrometric data CRVAD which is the result of the cross-identification of star lists from the General Catalog ofExpand
Hipparcos and Tycho Catalogues
This chapter describes various aspects of the Hipparcos and Tycho Catalogues useful for understanding the scientific exploitation considered in subsequent chapters. It describes some of the satelliteExpand
