Abstract We find a new class of (2,0)-supersymmeric two-dimensional sigma models with torsion and target spaces almost complex manifolds extending similar results for models with (2,2) supersymmetry. These models are invariant under a new symmetry which is generated by a Noether charge of Lorentz weight one and it is associated to the Nijenhuis tensor of the almost complex structure of the sigma model target manifold. We compute the Poisson bracket algebra of charges of the above (2,0) -and (2… Expand
T-duality and non-local supersymmetries
Abstract We study the non-localization of extended worldsheet supersymmetry under T -duality, when the associated complex structure depends on the coordinate with respect to which duality isExpand
SU(3)-Instantons and G2,Spin(7)-Heterotic String Solitons

Extended supersymmetric σ-models on group manifolds (II). Current algebras
Abstract The supersymmetries of σ-models on group manifolds are generated by currents, of which we calculate the operator product expansions. For flat spaces with N > 4 there appear more operatorsExpand
Massive (p, q)-supersymmetric sigma models revisited

Group actions and non-linear sigma models
The Yang-Mills sector of the non-linear sigma models is considered in D dimensions and its symmetries are studied. It is found that a diffeomorphism ƒ of the sigma model manifold M is a symmetryExpand
Anomalies in Two-dimensional Supersymmetric Nonlinear $\sigma$ Models
The anomalies of two-dimensional non-linear sigma models are analysed using the Wess-Zumino consistency conditions. In particular, the (2,0) model is discussed in both the (1,0) and (2,0) superfieldExpand
