    • This paper introduces the ship propulsion system in different aspects. In fact there are many types to accomplish electric propulsion. The latest installations are based on fixed generator speed and motor speed control. The AC motor drive systems with synchroconverter, cycloconverter, PWM converter are chosen for the ship electric propulsion.
