ASQ is a promising technique for assessing liver fibrosis in the absence of moderate to severe hepatic steatosis and there was no significant difference in AUCs between FD ratio and liver stiffness in predicting different stages of fibrosis.

The results suggest that US-Red% is useful for evaluating liver fibrosis stage (F1–3) and the size of nodules in cirrhosis and visually detecting the acoustic reflectional plane, which increases with progression of disease, as color images will be clinically beneficial.
