Seventeen species of macrochelid mites belonging to the genera Glyptholaspis and Macrocheles are recorded from Sulawesi, Indonesia. They were all collected from dung beetles (Aphodiinae, Scarabaeinae). Except for Macrocheles kraepelini, all the species are recorded from Sulawesi for the first time.
