  • Comprehension monitoring is a process to detect and react to messages, which have not been understood. It also includes detecting of expectancy violations and of logical inconsistencies in texts. The present paper reports research in this topic at the Ludwig-MaximiliansUniversity Munich from 2006-2012. Some results concerning development of comprehension monitoring, comprehension monitoring within language impairment, assessment and intervention for preschool children are discussed.
