Nitric oxide, a potentially toxic substance involved in regulation of various biochemical processes, was measured in sera from 84 untreated patients with cancer of various sites. Degree of endogenous intoxication was assessed by serum concentration of malondialdehyde and glutathione in erythrocytes.
